First of all so cute place, the doors are open with great seating! I didn't get to sit today but totally will! The food...PERFECT lunch.
We live in the area and I didn’t know about Buns N Rice until I googled restaurants and found this place with such great reviews. We finally tried the food today and it was excellent! I went in person to make the take out order and waited in the restaurant for the food. It was quick, staff were welcoming and friendly, and the food was delicious. We tried the spicy pork Bi Bim Bap and the Bulgogi Bao Buns. Portions were great and I’m excited to return to try some of the other food on the menu. Wonderful experience!
My fiance and I took a day trip to the area. We drove from Virginia Beach to shop at the antique district nearby. We googled places to eat near us and went with this lowkey restaurant. We were immediately greeted when we entered and chose to order in person instead of the tablet. The two ladies were very helpful and gave us good ideas on what was their most popular item. We chose the bi-bim-bap and the pork bao buns. Everything was excellent and the portions were great!
Wonderful small restaurant, perfect for a meal or a snack. Limited seating but doing a robust take out business. We got the garlic chicken and the bulogi tacos, and both were good (chicken was a tiny bit better). I also got the ginger and cardamom punch, which was sweet but delicious. If you don't like ginger, however, best to avoid! Bonus stars for having great vegetarian options and a vegetarian friendly kimchi.
Love many dishes--delicious!! Nice staff, good service. Atmosphere is more for takeout than eat in but it's clean and presentable. Prices excellent too!!

Small Menu, Great Food! Yum! That’s how many restaurants should be. Prepare a few things and prepare them perfectly. The fish tacos, tofu tacos, and garlic chicken were excellent. This place is mostly a carryout restaurant. There are a few tables and chairs. I look forward to trying other items on the menu. I hope to become a regular.
Following the reviews, we picked this place and we are so glad we did. We had the fish tacos, bulgogi bao buns, Korean chicken with rice, and steamed dumplings. Everything was delicious and made fresh. The place is very simple but has everything you need. Also, ordering is very easy using their tablet. Keep in mind they don't have a restroom for customers as they do mostly carry out but they have a couple of tables inside and outside. My wife even said she liked her fish tacos better than the fish tacos from the restaurant Fish Taco.
